Driver requirements
1 year OTR, tractor/trailer experience
Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement
Current DMV printout
Current matching medical long form and medical card
No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
No DUI, Reckless or Careless convictions or Negligent Operator status in the last 5 years
Be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen
No felony convictions – misdemeanor convictions will be evaluated on an individual basis
Accidents and license suspensions will be evaluated individually
The ability to read, write and converse in English

Tractor requirements
Current base plate – apportioned preferred
Current CA#
Enrolled in the CHP BIT Program (for California based tractors)
Current IFTA permit (interstate only) – call 916/322-9669 for info
Current MCP – call 916/675-8153 for info
Current insurance policy, naming Dart International as “Additional Insured”,
with an AM Best rating of A- or better and:
$1,000,000 – liability
$100,000 – cargo coverage (including electronics and garments)
$20,000 – unidentified trailer coverage (not trailer interchange coverage)
OC/AC if truck owner drives and/or workman’s compensation for any other driver(s)
Truck age – determined by length of haul – must be able to pass a pre-lease inspection and re-inspection every 90 days
